Terms and conditions

1. School services
Kaidan Martial Arts: The school is committed to conducting regular classes. Suitable members are given the opportunity to participate in national and international competitions. A lesson lasts 60-120 minutes. Instruction is limited to the scheduled classes. Free use of the training area is only permitted in exceptional circumstances and must be arranged with the school management.

2. Price changes
Prices are subject to change. For seminars, participation in national and international competitions, and special lessons – such as guest instructors – the school management may charge an additional fee, which must be paid in advance.

3. Holidays and Pausing Membership
The fee is also payable during school holidays (no classes during Christmas break, reduced classes during summer break). If a member is absent for more than four weeks, they may suspend their contract for that period by informing the school administration in writing. A retroactive suspension is not possible. Legitimate reasons for suspension include absences due to health limitations (a doctor's certificate is required), military service, or extended vacations. All other suspension requests must be submitted in writing at least four weeks prior to the absence. The school administration will inform the member whether the request has been accepted no later than two weeks before the start of the suspension period.

4. Lesson
Members must adhere to the applicable lesson rules. Each member is expected to give their best during lessons.

5. Equipment
Members must bring their own training equipment. The school does not offer a buyback option for unused training materials (e.g., kimonos).

6. Liability
The school is not liable for: – Accidents or illnesses of the member, even as a result of the lesson – Loss of or damage to personal belongings

7th contract period
This membership application is valid for the corresponding membership period from the date of signature. If it is not terminated in writing 30 days before the end of the membership period, it will automatically renew for another period. Termination of membership becomes effective once all financial obligations to Kaidan Martial Arts have been fulfilled. A fee of CHF 20 will be charged with the first reminder. Thereafter, the invoice will be forwarded to the appropriate debt collection agency. If a member is unable or unwilling to continue using the training program, there is no entitlement to a refund of the membership fee paid. Any formal termination must be submitted in writing.

8. Membership
Membership in Kaidan Martial Arts does not authorize the member to publicly use the Kaidan Martial Arts or Kat Muay Thai logos or their lettering. Any use of the logos or lettering (e.g., on social media platforms) must be agreed upon with the school management. The school management may terminate this agreement with immediate effect for serious reasons, without any entitlement to a refund of the membership fee. These include: unsportsmanlike conduct, failure to comply with the instructions of the trainers/training rules, criminal acts, participation in disputes, or membership in a violent or criminal group.

9. This declaration of accession constitutes an acknowledgment of debt and thus a title for legal enforcement within the meaning of Art. 82 of the Federal Act on Debt Enforcement and Bankruptcy for membership fees and all internal claims against the member pursuant to point 2. 10.

10. The exclusive place of jurisdiction is the municipality of Meilen.
